Why palm trees are the finest landscaping options over other variety of foliages?

Palm trees are traditionally found to grow and prosper in tropical areas primarily near the equator. But that doesn’t mean they can’t survive anywhere else. Palm trees have been legendary for their survival instincts and their hardy nature. They have been found even in sub-arctic regions and that alone could cement their position as the toughest trees on earth. Every variety of palm trees has some unique evolutionary feature that makes it ideal to survive in the harshest climates. These trees simply adapt to the climate and soon prosper.
Their hardy nature comes from their unique morphological features that include compound leaves, hard outer covering on the bark, etc. These unique features help in locking down the liquid content in the trees thus giving the trees a distinct edge.
Palm trees have been recently introduced into garden and home landscaping. These trees have been a huge hit with home remodelling and landscaping companies as well as home owners for their exotic feel. But the real reason of their ever growing popularity is not their exotic feel because there are several other trees that could give your home a true tropical feel still the palm tree is preferred.
The reasons behind such popularity of palm trees are:

·         Hardy nature: Palm trees are known for their hardy nature and that makes them ideal to be planted almost anywhere, irrespective of climate and weather. Some varieties of palm trees are known to have been found in a sub arctic region like Siberia too. So if they can survive there then your backyard won’t be such a difficult place at all. Other than cold they are also immune to heat because they grow the best in the heat and dryness of the tropics.

·         Survival instinct: Give a palm tree some time to acclimatise in a foreign climate and it will prosper. Their survival instincts coupled with their morphological features makes them almost immune to the vagaries of nature.
·         Ease of planting: palm trees can be planted both outside as well as inside the home and they will prosper no matter what.
